Wayne Altman, MD, FAAFP

Dr. Wayne Altman is an award-winning family doctor, professor, and teacher who has dedicated his life to improving the well-being of patients, especially in the areas of general wellness and weight loss. He practices medicine in Arlington Massachusetts. The lifestyle and wellness groups that he and his partner Kerri Hawkins created have enabled countless patients to lose thousands of pounds in total. He also serves on the Wellness Committee of the Woburn Public School System. Dr. Altman is an Associate Professor and Director of Medical Student Education in the Department of Family Medicine at Tufts University School of Medicine. He also has adjunct faculty appointments at Harvard Medical School and the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Dr. Altman has received the Dr. Jack Mitus Special Faculty Recognition Award at Tufts University School of Medicine, the Milton and Natalie Zucker Clinical Teaching Prize for Teaching Innovation, and multiple awards from Tufts for being an outstanding teacher and mentor. He has been recognized for the last three years as one of “Boston’s Top Docs” in Boston Magazine.

Kerri Hawkins, MS, RD, LDN, cPT

Kerri Hawkins is a Registered Dietitian and a Certified Personal Trainer. She lives to help people become happier and live better lives through better nutritional and wellness habits. Together with Dr. Altman, she helped to create and run a series of lifestyle and wellness groups, which have enabled countless people to lose thousands of pounds in total and keep the weight off. She is a passionate advocate for finding ways even the most challenged patients can lose weight and become healthier. Kerri was awarded the Young Dietitian of the Year Award from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics in 2010 and served as the President of the Massachusetts Dietetic Association in 2012-2013. She is an active and popular blogger at Kerri has an MS in Nutrition from the Tufts University School of Nutrition. She loves to exercise and participates in Ultimate Bootcamp and various soccer leagues. She enjoys running 5K, 10K and half marathon races.

Josh Bernoff

Josh Bernoff is coauthor of three books, including the bestselling business book Groundswell: Winning in a World Transformed by Social Technologies (Harvard Business Review Press, 2008) and the recently published The Mobile Mind Shift: Engineering Your Business To Win In The Mobile Moment (Groundswell Press, 2014). Abbey Klaassen, editor of Advertising Age called Groundswell “the best book ever written on marketing and media.” Josh has been a professional nonfiction writer and analyst for three decades and is a senior vice president at Boston-area research and consulting firm. He gives business speeches all over the world. Josh is a recovering fat person and has lost 55 pounds in the lifestyle and wellness groups that Dr. Altman and Kerri Hawkins run.
